I am thinking of retrofitting the nifty new TFT/LCD IPC from the MY18 S550 to my MY16 one which is rather boring. I am driving a manual GT w/o Performance Pack. The matching Instrument Cluster is listed for a pretty high price of currently almost 1400 USD.
While the new cluster is more of a visual upgrade kind, it comes with pretty cool new features like performance shift indicator, drive mode dependend cluster appearance modes, and rev match, which might or might not be available when retrofitted.
I am wondering if any of you experienced retrofitters can rate the chance of a successful conversion?
How would the odometer value be „transferred“?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
