Re: Change IPC Firmware MKZ to Mondeo 5
Hi Denis, Dan, Dragunov or someone else!Denis27 писал(а):with the new version it runs perfect. without the SEED KEY error. perfect work
So is there a final optimized step by step procedure to simple upgrade Mondeo 5 Euro IPC high level to the newest calibration? (For me from GS7T-14C026-BJA to actual BJE)
It's better to use VBF loader instead of Update wizard?
Better options in UCDS are "force all modules to sleep" and maybe "canbus logging" enabled? all others leaved disabled?
Due to the huge amount of time that seem it's needed to flash IPC (I've read 40 min.), it's naturally better to use a charger with virtual battery supply enabled to prevent on-board battery discharge and abnormal interruption of flashing process, but.......is there some tips to prevent some sleep of car with accessory powered on for 40 minutes? Leave the driving door opened? or something else?
Denis, did you update to latest BJE firmware successful with latest UCDS 2.0.002.002 trough VBF loader?
Thanks to all that can give some detailed information (even considering that updates are always dangerous)
Peter

Re: Change IPC Firmware MKZ to Mondeo 5
i would use the update wizard...select Mondeo (Euro) and update the JPC through there. Use the sleep all modules mode... Also make sure your headlights are off and auto wipers are off if you have them before starting. If not, they like to turn on during programming. Usually takes about 15 Minutes, not 40.... Scan and Clear DTCs when flashing is complete.peterpro писал(а):Hi Denis, Dan, Dragunov or someone else!Denis27 писал(а):with the new version it runs perfect. without the SEED KEY error. perfect work

Re: Change IPC Firmware MKZ to Mondeo 5
Why not use the VBF loader Dan?
Those are pure, using the Update Wizard can contain other VIN codes in it, no?

Re: Change IPC Firmware MKZ to Mondeo 5
Update wizard has nothing to do with VIN per say... it goes by the Module Hardware Part Number and current software calibration... so no there are no other VIN codes in it.dragunov писал(а):Why not use the VBF loader Dan?

The vehicle selection in upgrade wizard matches up compatible firmware with the hardware part numbers detected from the modules.
If the update wizard automatically shows the firmware I need/want then I always use that over the VBF Loader. I only use the VBF Loader for manual/forced flashing. or flashing firmware to a module that does not officially belong on it.

Re: Change IPC Firmware MKZ to Mondeo 5
Thanks a lot Dan, for the tips....even if only 15 min i prefer to attach my charger with virtual battery mode that give to the car a constant 13,5 volt and a maximum of 15 amps, just to be sure that nothing could abnormally terminate the flashing procedure.Hi Denis, Dan, Dragunov or someone else!

Sort of kind of figured out a solution... it is the IPC firmware. My PAM is older so if I use a 2014 Lincoln MKZ IPC with the older Lincoln firmware the parking aid chimes work. If I use a 2017 Lincoln MKZ IPC with the newer Mondeo or MKZ Firmware, the chimes do not work.

A friend of me keeps his car running during the update!
I guess none of the current files are meant to be on our cars, that's why we use VBF loader, no?
Cause u force-flashed the files yourself on your Mondeo IPC...

Never keep engine running during update. That is dumb.
If update wizard shows update use that. If not use VBF loader to manually update. No other discussion than that is necessary. Why create extra work for no reason.
I force flashed because my 2014 Fusion shouldn't even have this cluster thus the part number doesn't show up in update wizard for a Fusion CD391.

Those guy does this for every update of the IPC and the module has the same behaviour as updating the SYNC
