Try select manual CAN-Bus from HS3 to HS

Would adding the explorer hw part number for the IPC to the Mondeo >15 database make it work? Just taking a shot in the dark.

Okay...this has been bothering me and bothering me so I talked with DanMC85 today and he gave the the VIN for a 16 mondeo. Knowing that I had no communication issues with UCDS and my 16 EDGE (NA) when selecting Mondeo >15 for the vehicle type I created a file for use with the Updater function using the info contained in the build data for the 16 Mondeo. Using this I was able to write 16 Mondeo firmware to the 17 Explorer IPC I am using in the 16 Edge.

I still want to be able to write the EU 16 Edge firmware to the IPC however. So whatever it takes to get this done please update the software to do that. I can provide any information you may need.

Latest IPC update still didn't fix the issue dododude has with his PDC...

I just noticed and flashed a newer Mondeo Cluster Firmware revision, that I discovered.

I cannot tell what changed, but it is working well so far.

Yea they are always 4 files plus the SBL boot loader file which never changes.

I thought the bootloader changed aswell sometimes

i know that before christmas came a update for the ipc which didt work it made the ipc freese in the funktions and speedomeer needle jump and the rpm jump also and all other funktion did not work if you had it in trip comp1 or 2 but if you used any other funkton it worked ok and we werent alllowed to update via fdrs or any other way
but now they have allowed it to be done i have changed 1 ipc because of this malfunktion first they thougth it was becuase of the sync3 problem we got in the car
update today i got the car again because ford acepted to pay for exchange of the ipc under warenty before i removed the ipc i tried to reinstall with the new software that had been updated on the ford server icould se that the program had updated 16-1-2917 but no new software updates ?? after the reinstall and download of config files it was working perfekt again so i dont think that they know that is possible to save the ipc by reinstall it again so i have a new ipc and one who just have to be updated so it is working again
every thing was done with fdrs and vcm2

Do u need to unpack the zip files or just load them in fdrs/ucds in zip format?

I think you have to unpack the zip files, UCDS vbf loader dos not recognise zip files.

I was having same issue using new UCDS yesterday. I think it is an issue with new Database. It is being looked into.
