I manually updated my ABS (2016 Fusion level) and my BCM (2017 Fusion level) in my 2014 Fusion (USA) using VBF Loader. I can use the BCM (2016+) Direct Config, the ABS Direct Config is basically the same, nothing really different. My CCM is too old to update, Ford changed the CCM module in 2015 and again in 2017, so it uses a different file set than the CCM in my 2014 which is older than that (2012-2014).

Note: ABS will require a Service Procedure run after update or all ABS error lights will be on the dash. One of the sensors needed to be calibrated.

I would NOT recommend updating either of these modules unless you know what you are doing and have the skills to recover if something fails.
If a BCM flash fails, your car will NOT turn on. If an ABS flash fails, your dash will be lit up like a Christmas Tree with error messages and brake system will not function correctly.

I find a vehicle that has what I want to look into... download the as built file... open the as built file in Notepad++, all the file names are at the bottom by module ID.

Also: You can enter and modify those file names in a saved Update Wizard UUW file in Notepad++ and load that file in the update wizard to check for a newer version of files for that module.

I think that Dragunov is speaking how to find (maybe download...) files (most of them are "ecu cal config" files) that UCDS cannot find or either with manual download from calibrations server, because they are not present....!!
It's sure that the guys that have IDS subscription can download what they want...the problem is that us (DIY guys) with only UCDS adapter cannot do all the stuff that can be done with IDS.
Attached an example of what we are speaking.....

That means Ford never posted the files for updates, which means the only way to have a module with those files is to buy a new module with them preloaded.

If UCDS doesn't have the file, then IDS doesn't have the files either.

Both my door modules were updated at dealership, but I guy I know, came yesterday to my house to update his door modules of his Mondeo MK5 and it didn't find those ECU files (pics above).

So in fact they are available on Ford server (mine is updated at dealership), but cannot be downloaded by UCDS (error above)
